Install OnVoice for Mac
Works on macOS 14 or later. Free, and it updates itself.
- Download and unzip. Double-click the OnVoice zip in your Downloads folder.
- Drag OnVoice to Applications. Move it into your Applications folder so it stays put.
- Open it. macOS asks once because the app came from the internet. Click Open. OnVoice is signed and notarised by Apple, so there is nothing else to do.
- Sign in once. Use Apple, Google or WhatsApp, then come back to OnVoice. After that it works offline.
- Allow Microphone and Accessibility. The microphone hears you only while you hold the key. Accessibility lets it type the text into the app you are using.
- Hold Right Option, speak, let go. Clean text lands where your cursor is.
